Lady Gaga has been asked by PETA’s India chapter to wear a lettuce dress.
Gaga is currently in India performing at after-party events for India’s first Formula One race. She received a letter from the organization’s India chapter in which they offered to make the singer a dress made entirely of lettuce, held together by threads and pins, which would take five to six hours to apply directly onto her body.
Said Sachin Bangera of PETA India: “If she agrees, we’ll make her a dress entirely of lettuce and held together by pins and threads. It will be a full length gown, and we’ll make sure it looks sexy.”
The move was touted as a way to get Gaga to promote vegetarianism after she controversially wore a dress made of meat last year. Gaga has not yet confirmed if she will don the dress, telling reporters last Sunday: “I don’t want to spoil the surprise.”
