Lady Gaga will be the featured guest performing at Times Square during the annual New Year’s Eve celebration on ABC hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest, The Associated Press said. The show is in its 40th year and Mr. Clark has been hosting it much longer than Lady Gaga, the pop diva given to euro-dance grooves and wacky costumes, has been alive. (She was born in 1986.) Fergie, of the Black Eyed Peas, will host the Los Angeles portion of the show, which will go for three hours in prime time, break for the local news, then return for two and a half hours.
